My name is Bill Ellis and I am a Disciple of Jesus, a husband, a father, a clown and a blogger…
I am a native Floridian, but I have been a missionary in Central America for the past thirteen years. I became a Christian in my sophmore year in college while attending Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida. Just a few months after my conversion I went into the ministry as a part time Campus and teen minister. I loved working on campus, but it was the “go anywhere, do anything” attitude of the Apostle Paul that called me to the mission field. In 1994 I signed up for a six month stint in Guatemala, but I guess my watch stopped. That decision brought me to meet my Guatemalan wife Wendy, who along with our three kids has followed me to El Salvador, Costa Rica and a few years back, back to Guatemala.

Hi Bill! I happened to check my brother-in-law’s email, Chris Boyer, who is Vivi’s husband, who is Karla’s sister, who is my wife (“I heard that Ferris passed out at 31 flavors- I guess it’s really serious…” remember that F. Bueller quote?!?)- which led me to your blog!!!
I remember you leaving after my conversion to the Lord in ‘93. I’m so grateful you stayed down there and are so faithful to the Central American disciples and God’s mission for Latin America…
We’re in L.A. now working with Campus students – and- believe it or not- we’re praying about potentially coming to make our home in El Salvador and encourage the church. ‘Ju wannanother gringo nearby??? I won’t act too much like one- PROMISE!!!
Anyway- read your top ten- great advice! On a serious note- we’re praying for God’s hand to move- do you have any thoughts or inspiration from God? Also- longshot- but are you going to the Orlando Conference?

I dont know if you remember me or not but we went to high school together! I saw your information on classmates.com and thought I would look you up to see how you were doing. you look like you are doing well and you have a beautiful wife. I am married with 2 kids and still in Apopka. Love to catch up sometime! Keep up the great work!

Hey Bill, congratulations on being honored as an Evangelist. I’m sure you will continue to serve in great ways in Guatemala. I”m a disciple in one of the Texas churches. Although, my dad lives in Guatemala who fell away a couple of years ago. I’ve been trying to get the email addres for Alex or any one else in Guatemala but with no success. Fortunately, I ran into your blog. I’m trying to see if someone could help my dad come back to Christ; he wants to change.
